COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Spanish I is a high school course. This means that this course will count for high school course credits and will be present in their high school transcript. The student must pass with a 70 or higher in the overall course to receive a unit credit. After passing the course, the student will be recommended to take Spanish II their 9th grade year. If the student does not pass Spanish I in 8th grade, they will either have to wait a year to retake it in high school or choose a different language their 9th grade year.

The Forsyth County Foreign Language Pacing Guide outlines the academic content that will be covered in the class. The curriculum ties directly to the State of Georgia Performance Standards for World Languages which can be viewed at www.GeorgiaStandards.com.
